Hi, I am Steve Broughton, as a pastor and biblical counselor I have sat in an office with hundreds of men discussing hardships and pointing them to the hope that can be found in Christ Jesus. Even today, I continue to enjoy every opportunity to pour biblical wisdom into men’s lives in the counseling room.

However, I have found that some men prefer to do discuss the complications of life while working side by side. I wanted to create this ministry to make room for such a space. I want to shake things up a bit by whittlin’ in a zoom room while we talk or fishing in person while we seek God’s wisdom for life together.

I have witnessed a deep disconnect in regards to many men’s relationships with their wives, children, brothers in Christ, and many times with Christ Himself. Many feel like they are caught up in a never ending rat race to the bottom. When I ask them the question, “To what end?” They often remark, “I don’t know”, almost as if purpose and meaning has become fleeting.

So, welcome to a space where we learn some hands-on skills, discuss life, and pursue godly wisdom. We need to start engaging our hands, our brains, and our souls in the most important Kingdom work, transformation in Christ.

I know that I don’t have all of the answers but I know the One who does. So, I want to resource you for purposeful godly living. You will find videos, blogs, vlogs, and more. Most of it is “Free” and if you want to go deeper, then I have provided some platforms for that as well.

If you need to chat about life while fishing, whittlin’ a spoon, tying a fly, etc then we can do so via online or in person. Let’s practice a skill while growing in godly living.
